The Lacroix Lab @ Dartmouth College
Soil Biogeochemistry - we study how soils function!
Research Vision
We are mechanism-focused, “big-picture” motivated soil biogeochemists. Our work connects small-scale processes (e.g., anoxic microsites) to field-scale measures (e.g., soil organic carbon content) in both managed and unmanaged ecosystems. By studying soil biogeochemical processes and their spatiotemporal heterogeneity, we hope to improve predictions of greenhouse gas, nutrient, and contaminant mobilization after human-induced disturbance. You can read more about our research here.

Opportunities
I am always open to working with motivated MS students, PhD students, and postdocs.
You will be a great fit for the lab if you:
-
are committed to working in a positive and inclusive environment
-
have a background in soil science, chemistry, biology, or earth and environmental science
-
are curious about "how soils work"
If you are interested in working together, please reach out. Let's start the conversation early! It's easier to discuss and support opportunities like outside funding and fellowships.
