Dr. Emily Lacroix (she/her) - PI

Emily grew up in rural New Hampshire and is thrilled to be returning to the Upper Valley as an Assistant Professor at Dartmouth College. Emily received a BA in Chemistry modified with Environmental Studies from Dartmouth and a PhD in Soil Biogeochemistry from Stanford University. Her research interests are detailed here. When she's not doing science, Emily enjoys running, hiking, gardening, cooking, dancing, singing, and hanging with her petite famille.

Patrick Murray (he/him) - MS Student

Patrick is an MS student studying the effects of roots and mineral properties on anoxic microsites and soil carbon in the rhizosphere. He received a BS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2024. In his free time, Patrick likes to read, watch movies, run, and play the trombone.

Cole Stenberg (he/him) - MS Student

Cole is an MS student studying interactions between particulate organic matter, anoxic microsites, and soil carbon preservation. He received a BS in Environmental Science from University of Minnesota. In his free time, Cole likes to fish, practice martial arts, and look at soil.
